It's extremely hard to have a life with no music, partys, dances and the sole effect of symphony on our moods. I am saying so because running an online music store has made this fact clear to me. People of all ages, ethnicities and attitudes peruse through the large selection of music we cater to, and cannot resist ordering an album every once in awhile.
Although this sounds bizarre for a woman who is young and reckless, but I hold lots of appreciate for things that have survived through a long timeline. I also favor things that are old but classic as it signifies their durability, flexibility and long-standing characteristic. So, if you ask me about my personal preference in the music, you’ll see that I enjoy modern genre but hold a special place for old songs that make me reminiscent of my good old days. Mostly, I’ll pick Beatles and country music of 80s.
Over all, the ‘old is gold’ pretty much goes with everything, from old images to music to keepsakes to my old money-plant that hangs on its branches in my living room but never ceases to withstand dry weather and lack of sunlight. There is immense charm attached to old things that belong to us – they somehow define us and I find that feeling tough to let go of.
Admit this: We are badly addicted to the moment that is passing. With time, things change but we hardly realize this. We do, when suddenly all has altered and we have nothing but memories to make up for the loss. I wish this world would stay still.
But that would mean that no new music will hit us. Sad. Literally, it is okay to change with time but really important to stick with your roots and keep going back to old good things frequently. This is precisely what I do when I need a dose of old music to renew old treasured memories.
